Dear Valued PTSA Members,
We have our general PTSA meeting next week with elections for the new PTSA Officers. Last week we had a full slate. However we now have a vacancy for Treasurer. The Treasurer position is one of the required positions in order for the PTSA Board to run. Please consider volunteering for this crucial position. Any PTSA Member may hold the position.

Please plan to attend. In addition to voting we also have a great presentation on "Local Trades" by Kathy Kerrisk, Project Manager with Frank M. Booth Inc. in charge of training, Bay Area Recruitment and community outreach, as well as ECHS Parent & Alumni. We also may have visitors of incoming Freshman parents.
Please reply to this email with any nominations for Treasurer or questions you may have. I look forward to seeing many of you soon. Keeping in mind our children will not always do what we say but they will often do as we do. Thank you.

In both schools and communities PTA volunteers are recognized as leaders and advocates. PTA includes an ever-changing set of volunteers, and developing leadership skills is an important step toward creating successful activities and programs and managing the business needs of the PTA.
For officers, chairmen, and program coordinators, the PTA provides opportunities for both students and adults to become effective leaders. Within this section, you will find tools designed to train new PTA leaders to serve effectively as officers and chairmen.
