This afternoon we learned that El Camino High School has been named a California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education. Like many of you, I first saw the news when the state released its announcement and messages of congratulations began arriving.
This recognition reflects the work of our students, teachers, and phenomenal support staff. Our students’ effort and achievement, combined with the dedication of the educators and staff who serve them every day, make El Camino an incredible place to learn and thrive. I'm immensely proud of our students and grateful to the adults who guide and mentor them.
I've said it frequently and it bears repeating now: It is a genuine privilege to serve alongside this community every single day.
