El Camino High's Fall Concert Goes Virtual

El Camino High music teacher Raymond Galela drew on newfound technical skills to organize a virtual fall concert that included performances of “March of the Trolls” by Edvard Grieg, Brian Balmages’s “Apparitions,” and the “Klaxon” by Henry Fillmore.

We Are All Super Heroes

South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) Superintendent Dr. Shawnterra Moore delivered an impassioned welcome back address to teachers and staff on August 11, exhorting educators to find their inner super hero and to do their best for students during a time in which concerns about the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and police brutality and racism were at the forefront of everyone's mind.

Coronavirus Forces ECHS to Cancel First Ever Trip to Spain

Back in September 2019, El Camino High School’s (ECHS) Spanish and video arts teacher Daniel Britton started making plans to take more than 40 students on an 11-day tour of Spain during spring break. It would have been the first time that ECHS students traveled abroad as part of a school-sponsored cultural enrichment program. Although the coronavirus outbreak has caused the cancellation of the trip, Mr. Britton remains hopeful that his students will be able to take part in this experience next year.
