Eligibility
STUDENT-ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible to play a sport at El Camino High School, student-athletes must abide by the following:
- Be physically cleared on the SportsNet: Online Student-Athlete Registration website.
- Be passing a minimum of four classes (3 or more F grades = not eligible).
- Can’t be dually enrolled in more than one sport per season.
- Once the season has begun, the student-athlete can’t quite a sport to join a new sport in the next season. The student-athlete will only be allowed to begin practice of the new sport once their former sport has officially concluded.
- Based on the previous official academic grading period, the student-athlete must have been enrolled in 20 units (4 classes) and received a 2.0 GPA (Grade Point Average).
- Maintain good behavioral standing as outlined in the student handbook.
- Must be cleared of any athletically-based book bills from previous sport season(s).
- If a student athlete ever attended a different high school, it must be determined whether or not CCS transfer paperwork should be filled out. Please speak to your coach and/or the athletic director to determine what steps need to be taken.
- Must not have turned 19 prior to June 15th of the preceding year.
Not abiding by all of the above requirements may jeopardize a teams status and result in forfeiture of contests and/or playoff eligibility.
